Kale Developments has built 288 one and two-bedroom sectional title units in Centurion, Tshwane. International Housing Solutions (IHS), a South African private equity firm focused on the development of low-cost housing, acquired the units as rental stock. Demand for the units has been strong due to their location, high quality and affordability, as the properties range between 5,500 and 6,850 rand per month.

The Village (Clubview) is expected to realize an estimated total savings of almost 310,000 rand per unit each year due to resource-efficiency measures, which cost approximately 14,000 rand per home. Water savings have been achieved through energy-efficient heat pump hot water systems, smart meters allowing tenants to monitor their consumption, and low-flow plumbing fixtures and dual-flush water closets. The design decision to reduce the window to wall ratio and provide natural ventilation has optimized energy efficiency and contributed to electricity savings, which are further positively impacted through the insulation of roofs and walls, and the installation of LED lighting for internal and external spaces.

The Village (Clubview) has received final EDGE certification from the Green Building Council of South Africa.
