A Development Management subsidiary for Tri-Star Group Holdings called Tri-Star Development Services, was registered in 2007 to operate on the sole basis of managing construction developments on a Turn-Key basis – this differs from other Tri-Star subsidiaries in the sense that they perform the actual construction of property.

Due to the nature of the work and the increase in job opportunities, a calculated and strategic decision has been made to re-name the subsidiary in order to differentiate it from its parent company and construction companies. Hence, the name Tri-Star Development Services changed to Kale Developments on the 20th of March 2015.

Derek has a BSc in Quantity Surveying that he obtained from the University of Kwazulu Natal in 1982. Derek has since been in the construction industry for more than 35 years. He’s got extensive knowledge in property developments, specializing specifically in residential Turn-key developments. His passion for people has led him to create a great many successful residential developments in and around the Gauteng area.

Most of our clients are obtained from “word of mouth” as well as the good relationships built over the years with the people and consultants in the industry.
